Her areas of research and teaching include environmental justice\, environmental racism\, nuclear colonialism\, environmental & social impacts of nuclear weapons production\, critical race studies\, and intersectional feminist studies. \nBoth Leona and Eileen will address nuclear Issues in New Mexico\, in particular waste storage plans in Lea County by Holtec International. \nMario Atencio: a Legislative District Assistant at Navajo Nation Council in Cuba\, New Mexico. Mario will discuss health impacts of methane pollution. \nThere will also be a guest appearance by the Green Amendment author\, Maya van Rossum: leader of the Green Amendment movement and founder of Green Amendments For the Generations.
